Mobile Installation Technician
Gauteng, South Africa Full-time On-site / mobile
Are you a skilled Mobile Installation Technician with hands-on experience in vehicle electronics, tracking systems, alarms or automotive security? Lock IQ is growing, and we are looking for a reliable, technically skilled person to join our installation team and help us deliver advanced anti-theft, anti-hijack & vehicle tracking technology to motorists across South Africa.
What you'll do
- Install Lock IQ anti-theft, anti-hijack and vehicle tracking systems in different vehicle makes and models.
- Carry out installations accurately, safely and professionally.
- Diagnose and resolve basic vehicle-electrical and installation issues.
- Ensure wiring, connections and installations meet Lock IQ's quality standards.
- Travel to customers and complete scheduled installations on time.
- Communicate professionally with customers and the Lock IQ team.
- Complete installation reports and provide feedback after each fitment.
- Protect customer vehicles and ensure all work is completed with care.
What we're looking for
Minimum requirements
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience installing vehicle tracking devices, alarms, immobilisers, car audio systems or other vehicle-security equipment.
- Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems and wiring.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot installation problems.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Clear criminal record.
- Willingness to travel for mobile installations.
